About Tumble Tally

Tumble Tally is a free game from Dayplay Games, a brand of Winter Watermelon. Play without an account, advertisement or purchase.

How it plays

Tap a column to drop the next piece into the board, and get three or more of the same shape touching, side by side or stacked, to pop them for points. The next three pieces are always shown. The pieces above a pop fall, and if they land in a new match it pops too, at double points, then triple: a falling match. Three pieces score 30 points and each extra piece 20 more.

Rounds 1–4 give you 12 moves to reach a points goal, rounds 5–8 give you 13, and round 9 onward gives you 14. Each unused move earns 10 bonus points when you clear the round. The moment you reach the goal the round is done: the next round starts with a higher goal, and two new rows of pieces push up from the bottom. Keep pieces below the dashed line near the top: when the new rows push up, anything above the line has nowhere to go and the game ends. The game also ends if you miss a round’s goal or the board fills up. Every point you score also goes into a wallet. Open the shop during any round, or after clearing one: two wilds that match every shape they touch, a bomb that clears the 3×3 block where it lands, three more moves, or a new row of pieces from the bottom when the board runs low, one of each per visit, and you can always skip it. Spending never lowers your score, and wilds and bombs come on top of your regular moves. The prices are the same for everyone on the daily board. Sixteen goals, such as reaching round 4 or making a ×3 falling match, carry over from game to game on this device; the How to play sheet lists them. Only your score counts; nothing is wagered, bought or paid out, and named players can save leaderboard scores. There are no prizes.

Use touch, a mouse or the keyboard: Left and Right pick a column, Space or Enter drops, 1 to 7 drop straight into that column, and in the shop 1 to 4 buy a power-up and Space or Enter returns to play. Soft pop sounds play once you drop; the speaker button under the board mutes them, and the choice is remembered on this device. “Start over” asks for a second tap so a stray touch does not end a game.

Daily, free play and Honeycomb

The daily board, which changes at midnight UTC, is the same for everyone that date, with unlimited retries. Finishing the daily board on consecutive UTC days builds a streak, kept only on this device. Free play gives you a new board every game. After your first game, the Honeycomb board opens: its columns sit half a step apart, so each piece touches up to six others and it takes four of the same shape touching to pop; its bomb clears the six cells around where it lands, and it keeps its own best score. Copied challenges include the rules version. Shared daily links remain playable for 30 days; an expired or unsupported link opens today’s board. A shared free-play or Honeycomb score links to that exact board. Links made before a rules update open the same day under the current rules, and scores from before the update are not comparable. A shared link from before the shop update still opens that same board. This is a public playtest; we may change or retire it. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular support response time.
